Jim is the original Fat Boy. After nearly twenty years with WHECO Fleet Services, Jim decided to retire -- by buying the company from its parent group! With a new name (Fat Boys Fleet Services) and a full work schedule this isn't what Jim thought retirement would be, but he loves it!
Walt Smith

Walt isn't a wrench. But that's okay. Walt has a background in accounting and banking and long history of community involvement that are important to the Fat Boys. (Even if he does still call a screwdriver "the turny thing.")

Van Snyder
Hy-Rail is a rare specialty and we have one of the best Hy-Rail guys around. A graduate of both Fleetbody and Harsco schools, Van focuses primarily on railroad equipment. As a bonus, Van has a long background in heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators and boom trucks.
Nathan Mathews
Nathan is a full-time student at Columbia Basin College, currently enrolled in the Automotive Program. He will enroll in the Agricultural Diesel program in the Fall of 2009 with our support and sponsorship. He is a straight-A student who keeps the more-experienced guys on their toes with up-to-date training. Nathan is on track to become a highly skilled heavy-duty technician.
Jorge Mendoza
Jorge is our "keep track of everything and keep us from killing ourselves" guy. Along with shop maintenance work, Jorge provides a lot of the "service" in Fat Boys Fleet Service. Things like picking up and delivering vehicles, shuttling customers and providing every vehicle with a thorough wash and vacuum before it goes out the door.

Jesse has two things that make him very, very good at what he does: experience and patience. Ten years in parts, fifteen years in customer service and ASE certification mean that Jesse will make sure that your rig gets the attention it should, as fast as possible!
Nola Goll

Nola is a breath of fresh air in a shop full of guys. In addition to helping Jesse handle the Service Writing duties, she also handles Fat Boys’ new U-Haul dealership! Nola’s background includes years of customer service work!
Larry Birl
Larry is the engine guy who can hear what nobody else can. Cummins, CAT, Detroit--he's done it over and over. He's also our cab-over man, with an extensive (ten year) background with Isuzu, Hino, UD and Ford LFCs. Larry is also a Harsco Factory trained and certified Hy Rail Technician.
Robert Vidaurri
Robert is a MASTER welder and fabricator. He can build anything. That allows us to do work that no other shop in town can even look at. Robert has worked on trailers for more than 30 years. If you think you have an impossible project, come grab a cup of coffee and talk it over with Robert. We'll bet he can do it.
